LASER DIE MAKING
Laser die cutting involves using a high-speed laser to cut through substrate. Lasers can be used to make a variety of cuts and do not require any contact with the material. Laser dye cutting is a highly technical process that uses a laser to cut materials into various pre-designed forms. The ideal tool is steel rule which is similar to a razor blade made out of specially hardened steel. The steel is bent into specific positions and sizes and inserted the slits that have been cut into the substrate. After the steel “blade” is inserted, the die maker creates an ejection rubber pad that is adhered to the dye base.
